The Lions Roar – September 2025 Newsletter
Celebrating Service, Connection, and Community
The September edition of The Lions Roar is here, and it’s brimming with stories that highlight what makes our Lions family so special — our commitment to service, leadership, and community.
August Highlights
August was an exciting month for the Mineral Lake Lions Club!
- New Play Structure: Our community now has a fun and safe space for kids to enjoy, thanks to the teamwork and dedication of our members and supporters.
- Backpack Giveaway: At our End-of-Summer event, dozens of students received backpacks filled with school supplies, helping families start the school year strong.
- Food Bank Progress: The Mineral Food Bank expansion project continues to move forward — a reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together to meet a need.
Mental Health & Well-Being
Looking ahead to October, we’re joining Lions around the world in recognizing Mental Health & Well-Being Global Service Week (October 4–12). This initiative, led by Lions International President A.P. Singh, shines a light on the importance of mental well-being — and provides clubs everywhere with an opportunity to create meaningful service projects that foster hope, connection, and support.
If you have ideas for local projects or events to support this effort, we’d love to hear them! Email us at info@minerallakelions.com or join the discussion at our next meeting.
Opportunities to Serve
There’s no shortage of ways to get involved this month:
- Community Coffee – Tuesdays & Thursdays (9–11 AM)
- Board Meeting – Wednesday, September 3
- Member Dinner Meeting – Wednesday, September 10
- Fireside Melodies – Saturday, September 13
Whether you have an hour or a whole afternoon, your time and energy make a difference — and we’d love to have you join us.
