60 years of service

Honoring Dick Suter
For 60 years, Lion Dick Suter has been a dedicated Lion, and we’re lucky to have him as our Lion Tamer! He helps keep our meetings running smoothly and ensures everything is in place—but more than that, he’s been a steady presence, always ready to lend a hand and share a smile.
At the February Zone Meeting hosted by the Orting Lions Club, Dick was honored with an award celebrating his incredible six decades of service.
Alongside his wife, Rose, Dick’s dedication to our club and community is truly remarkable. Not only does the Suter name have deep ties to Mineral, but Dick was also instrumental in founding the Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground, a legacy that continues to benefit our community. As the club’s historian, Dick has also played a key role in preserving the rich history of the Mineral Lake Lions Club, ensuring that the stories and achievements of the past continue to inspire future generations of Lions.
What advice does he have for others considering joining the Lions?
“Do it! Being a member of the Mineral Lions Club is great fun, and the more you get involved, the more you appreciate it.” – Dick Suter
Dick’s service has truly shaped our club’s legacy. We thank him for his unwavering commitment and leadership over the years!
