Why Logging Your Hours is Important

Every hour you serve helps us make a difference in our community and contributes to the global impact of Lions Clubs International. Reporting your hours allows:

  • Showcase Our Engagement: By logging your hours, we can clearly demonstrate that we are an active and engaged club in our community.
  • Strengthen Funding Opportunities: Accurate records of our volunteer service enhance our standing when applying for grants and funding, showcasing our dedication to making a difference.
  • Open New Possibilities: Highlighting our volunteer efforts can attract new partnerships and exciting opportunities that benefit both our club and the community we serve.

What Counts as Service

• Activities that benefit the public and support one of the Global Causes.
• Fundraisers where proceeds benefit a public cause.
• Planning or preparation tied to a service project.
• Volunteering with other nonprofits or schools.
• Regular Lions Club business or social meetings.
• Officer/admin meetings.
• Officer & Member Training.

Examples

Vision: Eyeglass collection drive, vision screenings
Hunger: Monthly food bank shifts, school snack packs
Environment: Lake clean-up day, pollinator garden at the campground
Childhood Cancer: Care kits for children in treatment|
Diabetes: Health fair with screenings and education
Disaster Relief: Emergency kit drives or support shifts
Humanitarian: Fundraisers for international disaster relief
Youth: Peace Poster Contest, youth leadership workshop

What Does NOT Count

• Any activity benefiting a Lion, their family, or their personal organization.

How to Log Your Hours

  1. Access the Log Sheet: Click the link below to access the volunteer hours log sheet and print it out.
  2. Fill in Your Information: Enter the date your name, email, and the date of your service.
  3. Record Your Activities: Specify the number of hours you volunteered and describe the activities you participated in.
  4. Submit Your Entry: Ensure all information and submit it to the club Service Chair OR club Secretary at the next meeting.
